» Sept 1-4, 2006 - Port Alberni Salmon Festival

The annual Port Alberni Salmon Festival will occur this year from September 1 through 4th. The festival offers daily prizes of

• $3,000 for first place fish each day
• $2,000 for second place fish each day
• $1,000 for third place fish each day

The grand prize for the largest salmon caught during the derby is $10,000.

Derby headquarters and all festivities are at the Clutesi Haven Marina at 5104 River Road Port Alberni. To purchase tickets call 250 723 8165. The Port Alberni Fishng Derby is a great way to finish off summer fishing adventures.
