POOL, PARK, BANKS & PIPES » arlington / bellingham
crossed the border yesterday only to discover bellinghams bowl is sic and only a 30min drive from my house!!! will be returning!!!
we got on the highway and went down to arlington another half hour away, so sic, cant wait to go back again...arlington is knarly and hard to skate, super steep and chunky coping, need to put some time in there!!

Bellingham's new Grindline bowl is now happening and IT'S THE SWEETEST BOWL I HAVE SKATED IN WASHINGTON STATE!! Although it has no tiles, it's a cool 10 footer that is effortless to ride with real coping and a glass like finish accompanied by perfect and I mean PERFECT transitions. The deep end is very similar to Arlington and Hastings deep, but so much faster with not much flat starting with a snake like type run. The old guys would love it as you can work up and down the hips like a yo-yo with ease and the locals are killing it. Only an hour away from Vancouver, I've been there 3 times already this fall and each time it gets better. It's super easy to find as you take the Lakeway exit of I5 up to Lakeway, turn left to Puget and left again, down a bit and your there. I have also discovered that border line ups are very short in the mid afternoon on the weekends by listening to 1130 AM radio, allowing me to zip down for some cheep beer with our mighty dollar for a gnarly session!
