I caught the tail end of the freestyle championships and the closing ceremonies but what I saw is great as freestyle is still alive. This was a 2 day event with the first day at Robson Square and the second day to be at Kevin Harris's home in Richmond for the 360 spin off and to coincide with his annual Old School Reunion. There were pros from all over the world such as Brazil and Germany and disappoint it did not. With so many creative spins and flips, even the little kids were imitating the moves these guys do which is cool to see.
The Old School Reunion has been running for several years now and was a blast from the past as always as it proves to be a great time to catch up with all the other older dudes to revisit the good old times and talk about "Back in the Day". This year I am stoked to have run into Rich and Mike Lien who like most older former skater dudes like myself are coming back slowly one by one. These guys were world class vert skaters of the time and nice to see them back.
