Here is the first of a series of videos that The Waters Edge Project will be putting out over the next few weeks prior to our upcoming fundraiser in Victoria.
With lots of help and effort from the Victoria community and other people around the globe we are slowly making a difference in some peoples' lives.
The Waters Edge Project needs your help and is also looking for volunteers who have some sort of educational program in place that could be put into practice.
Please check the first series of videos that were filmed and directed by Chris Hannant one of the Waters Edge Project's members and supporters.

Shannon Brown - a few fun clips from here and Nicaragua
Met up with some friends from Canada, NZ and Japan in Indonesia last year and planned this epic 2 month trip that took us from Lakeys Peak to Desert Point to the Mentawais. We hired an old leaky fishing boat once we got out to the islands and cruised around for ten days, ended up scoring some bagus waves the entire trip. Here's a little peak

The Water's Edge Project by Chris Hannant
It's been almost a year since the Water's Edge Project was created after a surf trip to mainland Mexico with the initiative of helping out small coastal communities. We have been working in Barra de la Cruz and will be returning in several weeks to check on the village and continue our efforts in assisting and educating the locals in three main areas:
Environmental Stewardship
Community Surf Program
Health and 1st Aid
This video is a short preview of what's to come with a longer documentary on The Water's Edge Project's first endeavor - the incredible town and people of Barra de la Cruz, Mexico.
Made the trip from the ever so familiar south island swell to the other side of the jaun de fuca channel, land of lefts, found this tasty wave complementing by a empty sandy beach after a muddy 45 minute trek through the forest. Split the peak with a guy from Seattle, next to no crowd on a weekend and hollow perfection :). Enjoy!

Great to see the site still going strong. I check daily from Japan.
It's been a long time since I submitted anything!
I moved to Nagoya, Japan, last May for a year. I went to the coast and checked out a beach. I was boardless, but Kenji was kind enough to lend his board to a stranger for 2 days! I was so happy. The water was very warm and the waves were fun.
