women's surf contest - the day before the O'Neill Cold Water Classic in Tofino.
The 'Queen of the Peak' is an all female surf comp proudly sponsored by O'Neill, the Wickaninnish Inn, Surf Sister and Shelter.
As many of you are aware, the West Coast is home to a large population of talented female surfers and we have created this event to showcase and celebrate that talent.
The event takes place on Friday Oct 8th and the location will either be Chestermans or Cox, depending on Mother Nature.
The event is open to women of all ages and there is over $2500 in cash prizes. Entry fees are $35 for shortboard or longboard divisions or $45 for both. Entry fees include a free 4 course awards dinner gala at Shelter. Pre-registration is a must as contest space is limited as it is a one day event. Babysitting and Dogsitting services will be available at the beach during the contest.
On Thursday Oct 7th, participants and media are welcomed to attend a free wine and cheese event held at Surf Sister from 7pm-9pm where participants can recieve participation packs, sign waivers, review contest rules and get heat times.
