MAIDN’ VOYAGE ALL SET TO MAKE WAVES THIS AUGUST
TORONTO, ON - O’Neill’s Maidn’ Voyage is all set to make waves this August with the first ever coast-to-coast Canadian surf tour featuring the legendary Hall of Fame surfer/shaper Peter "Pan" Panagiotis.
This year, Maidn’ Voyage will have three stops including Martinique & Lawrencetown Beach in Nova Scotia (August 3-5), Wasaga Beach in Ontario (August 17-19), and Cox Bay in Tofino, British Columbia (Aug 30-Sept 2). The tour will feature a string of highly anticipated surf clinics, autograph sessions and competitions. The tour will also feature a variety of themed parties and nightly attractions.
In the last decade, the surfing industry has experienced explosive growth in Canada. Canadians have embraced the sport more than ever and are now thriving on Canada’s coastal and inland surf. Everyday, new locations, schools and surf shops are popping up as the sport continues to aggressively expand in Canada.
Maidn’ Voyage is dedicated to continuing "surf awareness" in Canada while providing amateurs with the chance to learn from a seasoned veteran. The clinics are open to all ages and families. Space is limited to 60 spots per day. The tour will also feature a small beginners competition on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Cox Bay, Tofino, British Columbia.

About Peter "Pan" Panagiotis
Peter was inducted into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame in January of 1996 as one of the first 16 pioneers of East Coast surfing. He has won more surfing championships than anyone in the history of the US Surfing Association and the only surfer in the world to have 6 current signature models being produced at the same time, including the infamous Hobie “Slug”. He has also been a member of the O’NEILL wetsuit team since 1979.
