The Canadian O'Neill Wakeboard Team dominated the Wake Dans’ Rue in Drummondville, Quebec
Montreal, June 11th 2008 - The Canadian O'Neill Wakeboard Team dominated the competition this past weekend at the Wake Dans’ Rue wakeboard competition in Drummondville, Quebec. The first of a 6 event series took place on June 7th in front of an estimated crowd of 1000 people. O’Neill Team Rider Didier Godbout outperformed fellow team mate, Yan Thibault to take first place in the finals. The contest battle format allowed Didier to be the victor with a best 2 out of 3 runs which included a spectacular board-slide gap 360 to board-slide on the pool to pool a-frame rail. The O’Neill Team had another victory in the wakeskate event where O’Neill Team Rider, Yan Lecompte, won the best trick with a board-slide shuv-it out on the rail.
